Meet Your Guides

Marie Christine MC

Rooted in intuitive movement, somatic awareness, emotional exploration, and a deep connection with nature, MC invites participants to reconnect with the wisdom of their bodies, emotions, and inner worlds.

Her work is guided by the rhythms of the Moon and the elements—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether—and explores movement as a pathway to deeper listening, expression, connection, and transformation.

Throughout the week, MC guides Intuitive Movement, inviting participants to move beyond prescribed forms and follow the sensations, emotions, impulses, and rhythms arising from within. Her approach is compassionate, playful, and exploratory, creating space to move, feel, express, and discover what the body wants to reveal.

Drawing on her background in trauma-informed somatic movement, Dance as Medicine, emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and physical training, MC brings an embodied approach that honours each person’s unique experience and way of moving.

A nature lover and world traveller, her own life is an ongoing exploration of freedom, simplicity, movement, nature, and presence—values that naturally weave into her work.

No previous dance experience is required.

Norah Greatrix

For more than a decade, Norah has been exploring the body through somatic therapy, movement, meditation, therapeutic touch, and sound. Her discovery of Continuum brought these threads together through a practice rooted in curiosity, fluidity, and a deep trust in the body’s innate intelligence.

Throughout the week, Norah guides Continuum, an embodied movement practice that uses breath, sound, fluid movement, sensation, and stillness to deepen awareness and reconnect with the body’s natural rhythms and wisdom.

Rather than following prescribed movements, Continuum invites participants to slow down, listen inwardly, and follow the subtle sensations and impulses that emerge from within—opening possibilities for greater ease, creativity, vitality, presence, and connection.

Drawing on her background in Somatic Experiencing®, yoga therapy, meditation, and therapeutic bodywork, Norah brings a gentle, nervous-system-informed approach, creating space for curiosity, exploration, and each person’s own unique experience.

No previous experience with Continuum or meditation is required.

Obed Jean-Louis

Rooted in the rich musical traditions of Haiti—including Rasin, Kompa, Gospel, Reggae, and Jazz—and shaped by years of performing funk and improvisational music in New York City, Obed brings warmth, rhythm, and joyful spontaneity to the retreat.

His musical journey has included performing and recording with the legendary Haitian band Tabou Combo, alongside performances at Lincoln Center, the Blue Note Jazz Club, Dizzy’s Club NYC, and with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra.

Building on a lifelong relationship with music and sound, Obed brings an intuitive and embodied approach to rhythm, vibration, voice, and music—exploring their capacity to support relaxation, awareness, expression, and connection.

Throughout the week, he weaves live music into our shared experience, accompanying movement, meditation, sound explorations, and creative expression while inviting participants to discover the joy of rhythm, music, and their own authentic voice.

Obed guides welcoming jam sessions where everyone is invited to participate in whatever way feels natural—whether singing, playing, listening, dancing, or simply enjoying the collective creativity.
